We are aware that our current telephone system is not coping with the increased volume of traffic and as a result patients have been subjected to incredibly long call waiting times. There have also been intermittent incidences where your call is answered and then cuts off unexpectedly. We appreciate that, after a considerable wait on hold, this must be extremely frustrating; for that we can only apologise. This fault has been raised with our telecoms provider and we are working to find a solution.
Improvement plans include a call queuing system and automatic call backs; updates will be communicated as soon as possible.
